April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. We witness the consequences of distracted driving every day. It’s a common mistake that has the potential of causing a lot of damage. From making a quick phone call to changing the radio station, you may not even realize you are driving distracted.
This video shows a few common and extreme cases of distractions. Blow drying your hair, reading the newspaper, and shaving may seem unlikely, but the point of the matter is, ALL distractions (big and small) are dangerous. Taking your eyes off the road for just 5 seconds at 55 mph is like driving the length of a football field with your eyes closed. Just one second of your attention is all takes to change a life forever.
