The Campbell Police Department is currently investigating a burglary that occurred sometime between Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Revere Apartments, 1725 S. Bascom Avenue. During the burglary, four bicycles were stolen from a locked storage area.
Surveillance video shows an early 2000’s model, two-tone Ford truck park in the parking lot, and two males exiting the vehicle. As one male pries open an exterior door to the complex, the other stands watch at the top of the stairs. The two male suspects proceed down the stairs to the underground parking garage, appearing familiar with the layout of the complex.
Once downstairs, both suspects gained entry into a locked storage room (used by residents to store bicycles) by prying open the door. After a few minutes, both suspects left the bike room with a total of four bicycles and loaded them into the truck. The bicycles are described as:
• A plum and black Ellsworth Epiphany bicycle valued at $3,000
• A grey men’s Raleigh 29er belt drive valued at $1000.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25-30 years old, 5’8” tall, 150 lbs. with a dark goatee and a tattoo on the back of his neck (he is wearing a beanie in the surveillance video).
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic or possibly white male, with short dark hair, goatee, approximately 25-30 years old, 5’10” and 200 lbs.
Anyone who recognizes these suspects or has any information about the burglary is asked to call our 24-hour dispatch center at (408) 866-2101 or the Investigations Unit at (408) 871-5190. Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crimestoppers at (408) 947-STOP (7867).
