The Campbell Police Department is currently investigating the attempted theft of a vehicle in the early morning hours of May 4, 2016.
Surveillance video captured two suspects entering three unlocked vehicles on Mitchell Court in Campbell. The suspects were seen rummaging through the contents of the vehicles. The male suspect, who is seen sitting in the driver’s seat, appears to try to start the car. After several unsuccessful attempts, both suspects exit the vehicle and leave the area.
After contacting the owners of the three vehicles, Officers determined that property was taken from two of them, including paperwork, money, and an iPhone. No damage was done to any of the vehicles.
The suspects are described as a Hispanic male in his teens to early twenties, with dark hair, wearing a dark colored hoodie (with a lighter colored lining in the hood). The other suspect appears to be a white female in her teens to early twenties with light hair, wearing a denim vest/hoodie.
The Campbell Police Department would like to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked with no items of value in sight. We would also like to encourage Campbell community members to register their surveillance cameras on our new camera registry that can be found on our website ( http://www.ci.campbell.ca.us/686/Came...) or our mobile app.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information about the thefts is asked to call our 24-hour dispatch center at (408) 866-2101 or the Investigations Unit at (408) 871-5190. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through our free mobile application (Campbell Police Department), downloadable from the App Store or Google Play.
