On Saturday, November 21, 2015, at approximately 10:00am, a take-over style bank robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 1790 S. Bascom Avenue. Two masked/hooded suspects entered the bank armed with handguns. The suspects ordered all employees and customers onto the ground. The suspects proceeded to jump the counter and force employees to open the vault.
The suspects fled to a waiting white VW Jetta, which was occupied by 1-2 more suspects. The VW was later found abandoned on Kuehnis Drive (the street directly behind the bank). Witnesses saw the suspects get out of the VW and get into a green pickup truck. The green truck was later located a short distance away on Phantom Avenue. Both vehicles were determined to be stolen.
Fortunately, there were no injuries during the commission of the robbery. This is the first bank robbery in Campbell in 2015.
